After almost two decades of no new music, Mudvayne released their newest singles “Hurt People Hurt People” and “Sticks and Stones” last year. The new singles came a couple years after the band’s reunion in 2021, and while it was brand new material, reportedly not everyone was happy with it – from the band, to their management, to their fans. And so, the Mudvayne team quietly took matters into their own hands, reaching out to a brand new mixing engineer, by the name of Dave Fortman, and quietly re-uploading those new mixes to streaming platforms.
Originally mixed by Josh Wilbur, known for his work with Avenged Sevenfold, Bad Religion, Korn, Lamb of God, Trivium and more, feedback from fans indicated that they felt that the singles were supposed to be ‘demo’ releases, with a comment from who looks like Dave Fortman himself confirming his new involvement and the alleged reasons by it…
